We know that this economy is a nightmare, and that hay prices are through the roof, and grain is pretty ridiculous too… BUT… there is NO EXCUSE for starving your horse!! If you are in dire straights and need help… PLEASE ASK! People are trying to rehome their horses all the time, NEER gets anywhere from 3-7 emails a week. We are doing what we can… we are happy to put them on the web site, run them through the board, network them as best we can. But, again, starving your horse is NOT the answer. If you need hay, or grain, a blanket, etc… PLEASE ASK! This is not a cash handout, and we will need references and to check out the situation, etc… but we can help….we can TRY! We will provide grain, hay, etc… whatever we can to help keep horses from going hungry.

If you would like to help other horses, you can send in your bag tags (or UPC, or proof of purchase), all of these grain companies give a ‘kick back’, NEER is using this money to form an Emergency Fund to help people that really need it, and to protect the horses.

The bag tags are white and tell the Nutritional Info and what grain they are. If anyone uses Loyal dog or cat food (from nutrena) or Empower, the proof of purchase needs to be cut from the bag itself.
