Happy New Year to everyone! Hope everyone is safe, happy and warm.

Things have been hopping around here. New animals coming in, boarders and keeping ahead of the winter nasties. The farm has grown, here is the tally:

4 Horses ( Maggie & Beebles and Mystic a boarder along with Daylon (mcdreamy this is what I call Daylon, ), 9 Hens, 1 rooster, 2 Tom turkeys ( Pot and Pie), 2 Piggies (Buddy and Rosie), 2 Cats (Pumpkins and Missy, 1 Dog ( Daisy Duke) and a bunch or naughty stray cats! Soon another boarder will be coming and my barn will be full!

The horses are fat ( when the farrier has to pull the back leg way out to the side cause their belly is so big and you can’t move the rasp… ummm yeah. All the horses enjoy have 1/2 a barn as a run in, with the big round bale inside. Stalls bedded 1/2 foot thick, peppermint and carrot salt licks, warm mashes on the really could days, with nice treat surprises inside.. these horses are loving life! Maggie and Daylon will be announcing their wedding in the spring. Who would have thought a Wild Mustang would hook up with a Snazzy feminine Standardbred. These two are awesome trail buddies, bed buddies, eating buddies, grooming buddies, and chilling buddies.

The PRINCESS as she likes to be referred to is doing MUCH MUCH MUCH better. Her hoof is 100%, her tendon has heeled and she is kicking up those heels and floating across the snow like a Olympic level dressage horse. She is also coming into her ATTITUDE, yes the PRINCESS has an attitude. She thinks biting can be fun till momma gets mad then she sucks up, she think kicking others can be good excercies until she finds out there are bigger fish in the sea. Beebles has also got a little buddy that keep her company and in trouble. Mystic, was born in the same month as Beebs and she is a foot shorter. These two are twins, where one is the other is. They eat together, snuggle together, run like wild ponies together and annoy the adults on a hourly basis.

I hug Beebles everyday and miss Shy everyday. I always have a sinking feeling in my heart, wouldn’t Shy be proud or Shy would beat your butt for that. Beebles has deff. got the thoroughbred side, right down to the LONG think legs and the need for speed. She still has Shy’s love of scratches and loving people. She is almost as tall as Maggie whos 15.2hh. So man I think I will need a catapult to mount her. Beebs also has learned the following:

That is easier to stand still then fight with the farrier, carrots are better then apples, I love fluffy shavings, I don’t like baths, I love to run like the wind, I love to whinny to anyone that will listen, I like being inside, chewing fences gets me in trouble.

She has come a long way, before it got to could out Beebles and I would go for walks. The first 5 minutes is the worst, since PRINCESS has a temper. Otherwise she enjoys herself to the fullest.

Hopefully I can update more often and I need to redeign the site. Anyhow here are some pictures.
