Its been awhile

I know I am slacking. I am so busy and so dang tired my eyes are crossing. I have been dealing with some family stuff and my other horse Maggie is having some pelvis/hip/back issues that I am trying to resolve. So stress yanno, nothing none of you don’t know about :)

Anywho, Shy and Beebles are doing greaaaaaaaaaat! Shy is getting fatter and is compelety food driven I think she may have 4 empty legs cause this mare can PACK the food away. She gets 22 quartz of grain a day, plus 1-2 bales of hay! We are backing her off some of the grain and supplementing with cool calories and her corn oil. So hopefully we can get her down to a reasonable amount of grain now. She eats a hole in my wallet as well LOL. But what can I say, all these feelings of AHHHHHHHHH there goes 100 another 50 another 100 when I see her and she nickers at me and Beebles is bouncing around. How can I mumble and complain after seeing that???

Shy is trusting of me with the baby now, I can take her and she does not care, as long as their is grass or grain she is set. Beebles on the other hand after a little ways she starts calling for Mom, I think she realizes there is a lot more to the world then she thought only a few weeks ago! Today we let Shy and Beebles in the dry pasture where the girls hang at night, Beebles refused to walk through the gate, its a trap you know. So Shawn walked Shy in and Beebles reluctantly followed. She started climbing the dirt pile with me and meet some other horsies. Shy gets REALLY protective over her when other horses are around. But they walked sniffed ate then exited, honestly I think Shy just wanted to get back to eat grass! Shy had her feet done last Friday, her balance has not improved, but we let her use the wall to brace herself and me holding her and rubbing her she did ok.

Beebles, well what can I saw?? She has mexican jumping beans in her butt! She spends more time zipping around the property and in the air then on all fours. She loves meeting the horses and showing off. She is quite the little girl! She is gonna be hell bent for speed I tell yeah, o and can not forget the scratching she loves. She also had her first hoof trim on Friday, she did really well, she had 1/4 inch taken off her right front, that should set her on the road to a perfect fetlock. Karina told me this is one of the best well behaved babies she has trimmed!! That made me feel good since… well I have never owned a baby. Ground manners and ground work is my niche’ anyways. Karina fell in love with her, of course Beebles showed off for her running, farting and bucking the whole way.

Beebles is now completly halter broke, no more walking on 2 legs and bucking at me. She still likes to rear and kick on the lead line, but after a few she settles down and walks next me, she is still young she is only a little over a month old. She is starting to go through her foal shedding, omg does she look funny, bald then hairy, bald then hairy. To cute though.

Beebles and Shy would like to thank all the visitors that have been out, they really enjoy the attention! Thanks everyone for the support! I am sorry this is so short, my eyes are closing, I am really sleepy so I will post some pictures a video link and let that be it.
