Awee, could you really ask for a more beautiful day? Was the perfect temperature and the fall trees turning. just aweeee.
I spent a lot of time in the pasture today< my first day off in awhile and it was spent doing what I love and being with those I love! Shawn and I had put more permanent fencing up, now we are almost done. I do need to order some more electrobraid to add to what I have. I need 2-3 strands cause Beebles has learned the fine art of duck and run *insert eye roll* So the pretty much the whole property has been opened up and they are scarfing the rest of the green grass up, and finishing the leftovers of the nice green rounders I got. For $40 bucks they are REALLY nice and green and better yet they are delivered
. I did go get 34 bales of hay and in another week I will be getting 34 more. I love my hay suppliers, they are really good to me and my girls and very sweet people as well.
Well today was SHOT day! It was not as bad as I anticipated though, Shy took it like a trooper, she was more annoyed that she had to stop eating long enough for me to do it.
Maggie well, ahhh ummm yeah. The first one hit a vein so I had to stab again… so that ticked off the queen, she refused to let me near her so I brought her in Shy Shy’s stall. I got it in, then getting the syringe attached was the hard part! She loves to rear and hop, she did some of that I sat there and let her have her fit, finally she realized I was not giving up and stood long enough for it to be given. I brought her out for some grass and some love.
Beebles, surprised us. I pinched her neck a little bit while cuddling her and scratching (scratches melt her
) I rubbed the alcohol on her, she was not found of the smell but loved the paper towel
. I stabbed the needle in, a flinch but the butt scratches melted her away. I then attached the syringe and it was done. She did really well. She has another in 2 weeks, lets see how she does on the other side. All in all horses are vaccinated and ready to rock and roll.
Beebles does not seem happy to be growing up
Tonight was her first night eating dinner in her OWN stall. She tried breaking the door, climbing it and becoming a blender in the stall. Shy would nose her over the wall and promptly go back to eating. I would leave her in there for 5 minutes and take her out and let her nose mom, then back in and feed her grain. I repeated this 6 times and each time got easier. OUR little girl is deffinatly growing up!
Well, I wont bore you anymore here are some new pictures, of the herd and co-workers have requested pictures of my YUMMY pear tree!

You want a close up??? Here you go!

Man she is growing! Width wise and height!

I love her markings
